We rented a regular pontoon and the double decker pontoon with slide. We were a crew of 10 adults and 10 kids and every one of us had a blast! The boats were nice and in great condition. It was an all around beautiful day! Thank you Xtreme H2O for making this a day we will always remember!

We had the BEST time renting a spot on a pontoon to Crab Island with Captain Lauren and deckhand Will! From the moment we stepped on the boat, the vibe was welcoming, fun, and laid-back. Captain Lauren made everyone feel safe and comfortable and Will was super helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. They truly went above and beyond whether it was offering to take photos, hanging with us at the island, and just keeping the energy high the whole time. Crab Island was such a blast, and having a reserved spot with great crew made it stress-free and seamless. The boat was clean, spacious, and perfectly set up for a fun day under the sun. Super friendly and helpful staff. Jimmy had great suggestions on local restaurants and activities for kids with upcoming rainy days. Pontoon was clean. Our kids loved the lily pad. The dock was close to Crab Island so we didn’t waste rental time getting there. No surprise/hidden, cash-only parking fees like the place we used last year a few lots down. Would definitely recommend and we’ll be using again next year.

Great job ladies and gents for making our family experience amazing! Word to the wise do the waivers before you get there. It made it a quick check in process. Great day on the water in our double decker 2 slide pontoon. Water at crab island did not disappoint. Dolphins in the bay were a nice extra. The folks at Xtreme H20 were great. The deck hands drove our boat out and went over all the basics with us. The boat had large comfy seats for lounging and the upper deck provided shade where needed. Wished we had booked the entire day.

Equipment and crew. Our pontoons are kept in prime condition by an on-staff mechanic. Our dock team is locally raised, walks you through every control, and pre-loads recommended routes for Crab Island, the snorkel spot near Norriego Point, and the calmer water along the Choctawhatchee Bay grass beds.
Pricing transparency. Fuel is included. There are no surprise surcharges. Half-day double decker pontoon rentals start at $695, and full days at $895, with prices subject to peak-season blackouts.
Capacity, dimensions, and safety
Our double decker pontoons are designed for up to 12 passengers. The lower deck has shaded cushioned seating, a captain’s chair, and easy access to the boarding ladder. The upper deck is where the action is: open sun seating, a railing, and two slides aimed off the back into the water.
Tubing off pontoons is not permitted in Destin for safety reasons, including from the slides. All passengers must remain seated underway. Children must be supervised on the upper deck at all times, and life jackets are provided for every guest on board.

Double decker pontoon rules and what to know before you book
Anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 is required to carry a Florida boater education ID. We offer the temporary NASBLA test on-site for $3 — plan an extra hour before your rental to complete it. We recommend taking the online boating
Per Florida law, you may not take your pontoon into the Gulf of Mexico. The Gulf looks close from Crab Island, but conditions can change fast and the equipment is designed for the bay. Tubing is not allowed off our pontoons. Food and alcohol are welcome on board — there is no alcohol sold at Crab Island, so plan to bring your own (BYOB) in soft-sided coolers, no glass.
Half-day double decker pontoon rentals start at $695. Full-day rentals start at $895. Fuel is included; there are no surcharges added at checkout. Single-deck pontoons (also 12 passengers, 24 feet) are also available starting at $400 for a half day and $600 for a full day if you do not need the slides.
Reservations are strongly recommended at least 48 hours ahead — double decker pontoons are our most-requested boat and they sell out first on summer weekends. Walk-ups are accepted when boats are available. Prices are subject to change and exclude select blackout dates around Memorial Day, Billy Bowlegs, July 4th, and Labor Day.

Can you tube off the double decker pontoon?

Double decker pontoons depart from two locations on the Destin Harbor — here’s how to find us, where to park, and how check-in works.
Choose Your Departure Location
Double decker pontoons depart from the Destin Harbor. Your exact departure dock depends on which rental you select — it’s shown on each option when you book and in your confirmation email. Whichever dock you choose, your double decker — slide and all — is ready and waiting at your scheduled time.
Destin X (214 Harbor Blvd): On-site customer parking is limited to one vehicle per reservation, first come, first served. Additional vehicles park free at 310 Mountain Drive or for $15 per vehicle at 285 US-98 W. RVs and trailers must use the paid public lot across the street — there is no on-site parking for these vehicles.
Gilligan's (530 Harbor Blvd): Free parking on property, first come, first served, with overflow parking at 531 Mountain Drive.
Check-In Process
Plan to arrive 45 minutes before your scheduled time and bring a valid photo ID for every driver. If you were born on or after January 1, 1988 and plan to operate the pontoon, Florida law requires a boater safety certificate — you can take the NASBLA temporary Florida boater test on-site for $3, but we recommend completing it online before you arrive to save time. After check-in, our dockhands fit your life jackets, give you a walk-through, and answer any questions before you launch.
Good to bring: reef-safe sunscreen, a hat with a strap, a phone strap or waterproof case for photos, and a small soft-sided cooler with drinks (no glass).

First time renting a pontoon, we were NOT disappointed at all!
We had great dock hands that showed us how to use everything on the pontoon. We got to go out and see dolphins and stingrays and also could see crabs crawling along the bottom. Crab Island is awesome. We would rent a pontoon from these guys again. Excellent service! Reasonable rates for a half a day out on the water.
