We love extreme H2O as we use their jet skis a crab Island annually. This year we chose to rent a pontoon as well and go enjoy crab Island again. Me and my 7 year old rented the jet skis and did the dolphin tour we absolutely had the best time my daughter was so excited to see the dolphins inches away from us everyone was great the guide was awesome and the lady at the front desk helping me get set up for the tour walked me threw without a flaw   When we visit Destin in the future we will do this again I would recommend to anyone to take the tour.

What a great time today thanks to the entire staff at Xtreme H2O! Did the Jetski Dolphin Tour and Crab Island Runner. The Jetski tour was really cool. Had dolphins swim right under the ski, pop up right alongside, and get really close! Getting to rip through the bay was a good time; plenty of warm gulf water to splash through and let ‘er eat! We went on a morning jet ski dolphin tour with our guide Matthew. He was AMAZING! So knowledgeable and familiar with the area and the wildlife, we trusted him to take us out in the gulf to try to see more than just dolphins. We were able to see a group of sharks and a giant pod of dolphins that swam all around and under our jetskis. I have never seen anything like it, on multiple jet ski tours we have done. 4 of us took the dolphin jet ski tour. We had a blast, i believe our guide was Marty. We had an unruly lady that was in our tour group and she lost her damn mind. she began to scream and cuss at others. But the tour guide was very accommodating to her CRAZY! Your exact departure dock depends on which rental you select — it’s shown on each option when you book and in your confirmation email. Whichever dock you choose, your jet ski is fueled and ready at your scheduled time.

Parking

Xtreme H2O (7 Calhoun Ave): Public parking is available at the Destin Marina, first come, first served. Space is limited on high-volume days, so we recommend carpooling when possible.

Destin X (214 Harbor Blvd): On-site customer parking is limited to one vehicle per reservation, first come, first served. Additional vehicles park free at 310 Mountain Drive or for $15 per vehicle at 285 US-98 W. RVs and trailers must use the paid public lot across the street — there is no on-site parking for these vehicles.

Gilligan's (530 Harbor Blvd): Free parking on property, first come, first served, with overflow parking at 531 Mountain Drive.

Check-In Process

Plan to arrive 45 minutes before your scheduled time and bring a valid photo ID for every driver. If you were born on or after January 1, 1988 and plan to drive a jet ski, Florida law requires a boater safety certificate — you can take the NASBLA temporary Florida boater test on-site for $3, but we recommend completing it online before you arrive to save time. After check-in, our dockhands fit your life jackets, give you a walk-through, and answer any questions before you launch.

Good to bring: reef-safe sunscreen, a hat with a strap, a phone strap or waterproof case for photos, and a small soft-sided cooler with drinks (no glass).

Destin Jet Ski Rental Rates

Destin jet ski rentals are $109 an hour on brand new Yamaha 4-stroke three-seat WaveRunners, with a 400 lb combined weight limit per ski. The rate includes the jet ski, life jackets, all required safety equipment and your launch briefing. There is no separate Crab Island access fee — you rent by the hour and ride straight out of Destin Harbor.

Where You Can Ride Our Destin Jet Skis

Our dock sits at the mouth of Destin Harbor, which puts our jet ski rentals closer to Crab Island than almost anyone else on the water. From the launch you can run the harbor, cross to the Crab Island sandbar, or head out toward the pass to look for dolphins.

Crab Island jet ski rentals — the sandbar is a short ride from our dock, so you spend your hour riding instead of getting there.
Miramar Beach and Sandestin — if you are staying east of the bridge, our Destin Harbor launch is the closest open-water jet ski rental to you.
Santa Rosa Beach and 30A — guests staying along 30A drive in to ride with us because there is no comparable open-water jet ski launch to the east.
Fort Walton Beach — we also operate from 169 Brooks Street SE in Fort Walton Beach.

How much does it cost to rent a jet ski in Destin?

Our jet ski rentals in Destin are $109 per hour per ski, including life jackets and safety equipment. The Florida boater safety test, if you need one, is an additional $3 on site.

Do I need a boating license to rent a jet ski in Destin?

If you were born after January 1, 1988, Florida requires a boater safety permit. We give the test on site for $3 — allow 45 minutes to an hour before your rental to study and complete it.

How old do you have to be to rent a jet ski in Destin?

You must be at least 18 years old to drive a jet ski or WaveRunner. Younger riders are welcome as passengers.

Can I ride a rental jet ski to Crab Island?

Yes. Crab Island is one of the most popular stops on a Destin jet ski rental, and our launch is one of the closest to the sandbar.
